FUN FUN FUN....Artists and others... I just learned about a wonderful artsy event taking place at Gotham Cafe at 1508 Main St. Columbia, SC on Wed. Feb. 3 from 7 to 11 pm
Dr. Sketchys is a unique art event for artists and those that like to draw or paint, featuring performers as live models for your drawing pleasure. There are no teachers, you just draw what appeals to you at the event and there is no grading. So feel free to draw or paint in your own unique style. Bring your sketch pad and art supplies or buy them there. S and S Art Supplies will be vending green art supplies at the event.
Doors open at 7PM with a light buffet (optional) available for $7. Offering a networking opportunity or a chance to come and meet the artists, mingle and chat before the art event. Sketching begins at 8 PM. $10. admission ($7. with student ID) Wine and beer also available with over 21 ID.

Every Friday Community Drum Circle with Dick Moon and Hula Hoopers with Gina Wolfe

Saturday Nite Jan 23; Evolutionary Soul and her fantastic band sing and perform in only that oh so soulful way that they do! Admission $10
Every Monday night Palmetto Swing Dancing Lessons start at 6pm fee $3, but the fun lasts until 10. We got some of the best dancers in the South East! Remember, the Lindy Hop was created just a few blocks away from the Gotham back in the 30's!
Ongoing to the end of the month; Art Show featuring 16 large scale canvases with a coffee them by Jean Bourque.

free Hula Hoop lessons; bring your drum or hula hoop. Both groups, the drummers and the hoopers are competing with each other to see which group can bring the most food and winter coat, gloves, hat donations for Harvest Hope Food Bank. So bring your donation and have a good time.
Jeff Liberty playing live at Hard Knox Grill every Tuesday evening starting at 7 PM. Hard Knox at 1000 Knox Abbott Dr. in Cayce is featuring a full dinner menu as well as great food.
Legends on Cherokee Rd. (frontage road at Airport rd. exit) next to Cherokee Kenworth, West Columbia will have DJ Dave playing your fave tunes Sat. Jan 16 8pm until closing.
