Through Our Eyes International April 3rd Reception

Through Our Eyes International Art Show April 1-30
Reception Thursday April 3rd 5:30-9:00 PM
1215 Lincoln St. in the Vista Columbia, SC

The show will take place during the popular annual ‘Artista Vista’ held in April every year where thousands of people will be visiting the Vista area of Columbia to enjoy good food and great art! Featured artists: Teresa Lee Kay (Dorest, England), Leisa Watts (Sarasota, FL) and Columbia, SC artists; Charles Myers, David West and Taryn West, Howard Hunt, Trahern Cook, and Bob Manown.

Original photographs, by award winning photographer Howard Hunt, will be hung with the corresponding artist’s works surrounding their subject. This will allow each wall to show the diversity in how each artist sees an image uniquely and then uses individual techniques and styles to communicate their personal interpretation of that particular photograph. The artist may do what they want, paint the entire photo, a part of the photo or go beyond the photo, change colors, etc.

Hunt hand selected the photographs for this show from his collection. The photography was selected to compliment the participating artists different styles and with images help push the artist outside their comfort zone. Please come by and experience this one of a kind opportunity to see how artists communicate through vision.
