Due to the miracles performed from numerous musicians and volunteers of the Skipp Pearson Foundation ... Jazz Town also known as Columbia, SC will soon be home to LeCafe Jazz, a new venue in downtown Columbia's beautifully landscaped Finlay Park which sits behind the Assembly St. PO and in front of the Strom building on the Laurel St. side. (how was that for a bit of geography?) The plan is for this to be a really artsy place featuring live jazz music and a variety of visual art. Many of you know Skipp Pearson (pictured) because you have seen him at Hunterer Gatherer on North Main Street, where he has had a running gig every Thursday night for many years.
