Fri the 13th of April Hopf Gallery Art Reception2012

TAG ARTISTS RECEPTION AT HOPF GALLERY APR 13TH

Would you like to be at an art show with a large assortment of art and artists? Well Friday the 13th, you will be in luck...

Trenholm Artists Guild Annual Group Art Show, features art work from their members in the upstairs gallery at HOPF on Devine St. in Columbia, SC. The show is currently running until April 20th.

This Friday the 13th... the HOPF gallery will be packed with the art league members and their fans and friends for a reception from 6-8PM. The awards will be announced at 6:30 pm.

You probably know many of the artist's if you have been following Columbia SC art events.
Yours Truly is also in this art show.

701 CCA hosts Triennial Revisted Aug 18 - Sep 25

Every three years or so SC held a Triennial Art Exhibit featuring on average 35 artists of the 100's that submitted. Since arts funding has been cut so dramatically, the 701 CCA decided to host a show featuring some of the artists that had shown their art during the event over the past 20 years.

The opening reception will be at 701 CCA Gallery Thursday August 18th, from 7-9PM at 701 Whaley St. Columbia, it is free to members and only $5. to non members. The show will be catered and a complimentary signature drink provided by Gervais and Vine (Vista on Gervais St.) and Rosso Trattoria Chef Kristian Niemi.

The exhibition is sponsored by First Citizens Bank. With TRIENNIAL Revisited, 701 CCA presents a selection from the five S.C. Triennial exhibitions organized by the S.C. Arts Commission and S.C. State Museum between 1992 and 2004 and shown at the museum. TRIENNIAL Revisited is a juried exhibition that provides a prelude and historical context for the inaugural 701 CCA South Carolina Biennial.

TAG Art Show at HOPF Fri March 4, 2011



Trenholm Art Guild will be hosting their annual art show at HOPF Gallery on Devine St in Columbia, SC. The reception will be Friday March 4, 2011 from 630-830 PM. The show will feature 1 painting from about 70 artists. The works will be on display for two weeks.

Jean Bourque will be showing her painting "Soothing Sounds" a painting she painted live on First Thursday in Sept 2011 in front of S&S Art Supply on Main St. Columbia to the soothing music played live by Frank Whaley. Mr. Whaley has since passed away and Jean wanted to show this painting in particular as a tribute to Frank's music in his honor. Hope you enjoy it.
