WineFest Art Competition DL is Dec. 3, 2007

Sumter Senior Services, Incorporated- Announces the 2008 Sumter WineFest Art Competition. The artwork selected through competition will be the focal point for the poster design for the 2008 Sumter Senior Services’ annual Sumter WineFest. The Sumter WineFest Art Competition was established to provide an opportunity for SC artists to contribute to the design of the promotional poster for Sumter’s annual WineFest. The winning entries from the WineFest Art competition will be auctioned during the 2007 festival with all proceeds from the auction going to support the programs directed by the Sumter Senior Services organization.

􀂃 All submissions must relate to “A Celebration of Wine, Art and Culture” theme

􀂃 Work entered to the competition must be original and unframed 2-D artwork: oil, pastel, water color, acrylic, photography and fiber-art.

􀂃 Minimum size 17” X 20”, maximum size of 24”X 36”.

􀂃 Artists can submit 2 entries. Only one prize per artist will be awarded.


􀂃 Artists must submit to the competition by emailing digital image(s) of their artwork to
bchilcutt@sumter-sc.com, format 4” X 6” at 300dpi. One digital image per entry.

􀂃 December 3, 2007: Deadline for submissions of digital images of 2-D artwork.
􀂃 December 7, 2007: Announcement of winners of the 2008 WineFest art competition.
􀂃 January 10, 2008: Sumter WineFest and auction.
Awards: 1st place ~ $500.00, 2nd place ~ $300.00, 3rd place ~ $200.00. The selected artwork will become the sole property of Sumter Senior Services, Inc.

A new art competition for 2008 was just announced that SC artists may be interested in too.
The web address for the prospectus is www.sandlapperart.com. All 2D and 3D art will be considered.
