World of Music Opening Reception THURSDAY Sept 29, 2011 |
5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at The exhibit will run through the month of Oct and end on Oct. 28th Fall season for the Art Trail Gallery: This is just the beginning of a fun filled exhibit starting Sept 29 Thursday night we invite you to join us as we celebrate the opening of the World of Music exhibit and our sponsors - Southern Harmony Recording Studio and Yonder Music! Light refreshments will be served. Come see the wonderful selection of handmade instruments, paintings, fiber art, lamps, flower arrangements, art installations, and more at the Art Trail Gallery! Also, VOTE for your favorite artist! Over the course of the exhibit, visitors are invited to vote for their artist. Ballots are near the artist's work. Ballot boxes are around the Gallery. Vote each time you come! There are multiple cash prizes thanks to Southern Harmony Recording Studio and Yonder Music! You are the judge! You determine the winners!! Remember - the majority of works on display are for sale! Proceeds from the sale of the children's flutes produced by Kenneth and Theresa Grut go to support a suicide prevention program. Jean Bourque will have three paintings from her guitar series ranging in sizes from 24x20 to 36x24. Brandon Cooper will show his cigar box guitars and there is a lot of other music related art from 50 different artists. You will see many handmade instruments from flutes to drums as well as paintings and sculptures all celebrating the world of music! Come celebrate The World of Music in Florence, SC at The Art Trail Gallery in the old Kimbrell's Furniture building.
