Call for Artists from the SPCA

For Immediate Release Call for Entries

Art is in the air! It’s that time of year when the JASPCA asks local artists to donate artwork to help carry out our mission to save animal’s lives. It is also the time of year when we give you the unique opportunity to have your art displayed in the most prestigious art showplace: The City Gallery at Waterfront Park in Charleston, SC.

The John Ancrum Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (JASPCA) is planning the 3rd annual “Furry Affair” an art event. The event has raised over $40,000. each year for the abused, neglected and abandoned animals in our care. Each year, JASPCA takes in more than 10,000 animals as well as operating two adoption centers, we have a low-cost spay/neuter clinic, have taken a leadership role in prosecuting dog-fighting rings in SC, and offer a range of educational programs. This past Feb. we broke ground on our new 31,000 sf humane facility to be completed in Jan. 08 at a cost of nearly $10 Million.
