Paintings by our Oct. 2007 Guest Speaker: Karen A GalleherKaren A. Galleher has a degree in Business Administration with a minor in English. Galleher, a mother of three, studied interior design and painted occasionally for family and friends, while her children where young. When Karen decided she wanted "to be a professional painter. She painted for forty hours a week for three years before marketing any work. During this time, she participated in workshops and took classes taught by nationally renowned artists. She developed her own painting signature of stylized impressionism in portraiture, landscapes, and fantasy. "
The Trenholm Artists Guild meets the second Monday of every month and is open to all artists and people interested in supporting the arts. The meeting is held at the Richland County Recreation Commission's Forest Lake Park, 6820 Wedgefield Rd, Columbia, S.C. No meetings during December, June, July and August. Refreshments are served at 7:00 p.m. and the business meeting/program begins at 7:30 p.m.
