HOLIDAY SEASON ART EVENTS
So much is happening in the art community this fall it's hard to keep up with it all even for the ARTSAILS1 Blog.
The painting here is loaded with holiday colors and even a touch of snow for the complete effect. "Healing" is a mixed media texturized painting on a 20x16 canvas; featuring, burgundy, gold, and green. I was on a second story loft painting with a great friend at her Mountain home in front of floor to ceiling windows with a breathtaking panorama view overlooking the NC mountains. The Trenholm Art Guild will host a Holiday Art Market from Nov. 17 to Dec. 23, 2008. The Opening reception will be Monday evening Nov. 17th 6-8 PM at 18 Trenholm Plaza Columbia. (in the former Oreck store). The gallery hours will be 10-6 Mon thru Sat. We will have a special Sunday opening on Sunday Dec. 21st from noon to six pm. Come on out and show your support for our Art League and our artists. TAG is Columbia's longest running art league the Trenholm Artists Guild. We meet once a month ; our next meeting is Nov. 10th.
The Back Porch Painters Gallery will be open on a daily basis throughout the months of Nv and Dec. They will be hosting a special holiday event with refreshments and new art for your holiday gift giving. If you are a member of Back Porch Painters Art Studio; we have our next meeting on Thursday Nov. 6th. This will be one of the most important meetings of the year; we will discuss the Holiday plans and gallery coverage.
