The UU Coffeehouse presents the World Music Series, featuring nationally-touring musicians performing original acoustic music with connections to folk, blues, Celtic, bluegrass, jazz and international music. Next on the series is Turku, appearing May 2nd at the Columbia Museum of Art. Turku plays music from the western half of the Silk Road, performing since 1998 for audiences as large as 8,000 people and as far away as Uzbekistan. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the performance begins at at 8 p.m. Admission is $10 for museum members and $5 for student members, or $12 for non-member adults and $7 for non-member students.
